From Avsr AI to Autonomique

Autonomique today announced its evolution from Avsr AI, marking the next step in our mission to build truly autonomous robots for the real world. Avsr, originally short for Autonomous Versatile Social Robotics, captured our early direction. As our technology and focus matured, it became clear that our work is centered on one core idea: autonomy at scale.
The name Autonomique reflects that focus. It represents our goal to build systems that can perceive, reason, and act reliably across a wide range of environments and tasks. Rather than narrow automation, we are building a foundation for general-purpose robotic autonomy that can handle multi-step, real-world workflows in manufacturing, logistics, and beyond.
Autonomique is also a nod to our roots in Montréal. The name carries a subtle linguistic connection to the city’s French heritage and the broader AI ecosystem that shaped much of our early thinking. That influence continues to guide how we approach both research and deployment.
This transition is not just a name change. It reflects the progress we’ve made and the direction we are committed to. With Autonomique, we are doubling down on our vision to bring adaptable, reliable autonomy into real-world production environments.
