When we started out as Avsr AI — short for Autonomous Versatile Social Robotics — our focus was clear: to build intelligent, autonomous systems that can adapt, interact, and evolve alongside people. Over time, however, we realized that while our mission remained the same, our name wasn’t quite as easy to carry forward.

While Avsr AI captured our technical roots, it was hard to pronounce, remember, and share. We wanted a name that better reflected the sophistication of our work and the accessibility of our vision.

That’s why we chose Autonomique.

Why Autonomique?

• Clarity and Identity: It speaks directly to our focus on autonomy and intelligence, while feeling distinctive and memorable -- easy to remember and share.

• Rooted in Our Heritage: The French-inspired ending pays homage to the city of Montreal, where our founders spent considerable amount of time.

• Universally resonant: Autonomique works well across audiences, whether we’re speaking to enterprise partners, research collaborators, or consumer-facing communities.

What stays the same?

Our mission hasn’t changed: we’re still committed to advancing robotics and AI that are not only autonomous, but also versatile, adaptive, and human-centered. Autonomique is a name that can carry that mission into the future.

We’ll keep Avsr AI as our legal name and brand anchor for continuity during the transition, and you’ll start seeing Autonomique across our website, product collateral, and social channels over the next few weeks.
